I've been very busy with my work lately, I even cannot touch my soldering iron. This week is a long holiday in my country, I also prefer to spent this holiday to do some cleaning in my house. I clean everything from my small garden, drawer and my store room. I donate all things that not use anymore. From many things that I clean up, this is the most interesting stuff that I got.

I never thought a capacitor could be look this beautiful. This Nichicon Super Through is a great looking capacitor with the black and gold color. It is far bigger in size compare to the others capacitor with the same rating. The Nichicon itself is well known capacitor for power supply application. In this post, I will share how I improve my car head unit power supply by will using this capacitor.

This car amplifier project is using the old car power amplifier I had. I removed all the amplifier components and leave the power supply section with several components such as input connector and potentiometer in place. I am using this power supply board for my testing purpose. Especially when the new idea comes on myself and it is related to the car audio system. Just like this one, I will build a class D car amplifier based on TPA3118 from Texas Instrument.

It is been a long time since I bought this Vifa TC9-FD18-08  here , it is a 8 ohm driver with almost similar specification as the Vifa TG9 except TG9 is 4 ohm. Theoretically, the higher impedance will make the distortion lower and I wish I could hear cleaner sound with this 8 ohm speakers. So here there are, a pair of TC9 speaker driver ready to replace my current Vifa TG9.

I remember when I was receive my first portable cassette player, it is a bulky player, need four AA batteries to operate and a wired earphones. I was 9 years old at that time and the sound quality is not good but I was very happy at that time. Time goes by, today technology are advance now. All gadget are become wireless. The iPhone 7 is the starter for removing the traditional wired earphone jack. It is likely become a new standard that everyone should have their own Bluetooth earphone. On my hands, I bring the most famous brands for the stylish audiophile on the market. It is the Bang & Olufsen H5 Bluetooth earphone to be review.

My parent love to sing. I remembered about 3 years ago they asked me to accompany them to pick the best home karaoke system. I picked the system just like what karaoke commercial did. They sound great and my parent was happy at that time. Until about a month ago, they asked me again to make some improvement on their home karaoke system. They wish to get more power and dynamic to play music even louder.

Lately, I am really enjoying my home audio system. I almost have no time to think about upgrading them. For sure, it is not the best, but I am enjoying listen music through this system very much. On the other hand, I am also quite busy with my work. So many things to do in this early 2017. Across my mind, I want to replace my old watch here  with something more luxury. I look no others than this Orient Mako XL. I could say this watch is like love at the first sight:)
