Building Compact F5 Amplifier (Part 4 Final) It's Sound Great

This F5 project is continued once my order of 2SJ74 from Spancer arrived last week. As you can read from  part 1 ,  part 2 , and  part 3  this F5 amp is almost finish. I have tested one channel and working very well. This amp works without hum, noise, or any pop noise. I can say it is a dead quiet amp.

Elna Silmic ARS Vs. Original Big Silmic - Personal Impression

The first production of the original Elna Silmic capacitor is offer a giant size diameter. When I compare them with the same value with others capacitors, it is just like elephant and ant. Look at this 1 uF value Elna Silmic! I have ultra cheap 1000 uF with almost the same size like this one. This project is an update of the half-gain headphone amp which is describe  here

Half Gain Headphone Amplifier Project

This is an experimental headphone amp using dual op-amp IC. The goal is for better design of headphone amp compares to the Cmoy amp. I am dig out any possibility to improve the typical headphone amp like  RA1 clone ,  Cmoy LME , or tiny Cmoy amp like  this  and  this . And here is the final layout, I named it the half gain amp. The IC that I use in this project is AD823 from Analog Device.

SCPH-1002 Capacitor Capacitance Upgrade

Welcome to the year 2016. I have a lot of time during this holiday and my itchy hands ask me to doing something with the power supply of Sony Playstation SCPH-1002. This is my following upgrade which previously I had replace the caps with the better ESR rating.

Bypass Capacitor With K40Y-9

I do some improvement from my last project  here  by changing the capacitor to this paper in oil capacitor type. With this upgrade, the instrument detail, depth of sound stage and the vocal are dramatically improved. This is also one of my favorite capacitor for signal application.

Build Point-to-point LM3875 Gainclone Amplifier

In this post, I will share my building process of LM3875 Gainclone amplifier. If I compares with LM1875 or LM3886, this LM3875 is the most simple amplifier to build with only few parts needed. This LM3875 also has the best S/N ratio compares to the others. For this simple circuit, I prefer to do it by point-to-point connection . The benefit compare using a printed board is the purer signal transfer. I always using high quality parts that I believe the leads from those components are better in materials compares to the PCB traces. So let's do it.

Building B1 Buffer In Car Amplifier

For most people, building any electronic circuit would be convince by buying or making a board or a PCB. I used to be like that until I experience that doing point-to-point circuit is more fun. First, I free to use any case I want that not limited to the board design and second, the layout could be limitless. Including this B1 buffer pre-amp is the most simple circuit design by Nelson Pass. The sound produce is neutral yet doesn't need much components in it.
