3.5 mm Mini Jack to RCA Connector Using Amphenol ACPR-SRD /SBK & KS3P

My previous post about the Amphenol mini jack is posted here. I really like the quality of this Amphenol 3.5mm mini jack. The type is KS3P. It is very affordable with good quality connector.

Then I tried to have another Amphenol product line up especially for the RCA plug. This is ACPR-SBK for red color and ACPR-SRD for black color. With this RCA plugs, I will make 3.5 mm mini jack to RCA connector.

DIY High Quality 3.5 mm Mini Jack

I don't find any high quality mini jack in the market with affordable price. Most of them are ugly and low quality. The cable length also cannot be customized based on our need. Let's say I need this mini jack to connect between my iPod to the portable amplifier, it just need a few centimeter, but the shortest length for this mini jack in the market is 1 meter which is too long. That is why I prefer to make one just like in this post.

If you are think that OEM car audio is just enough and you are more enjoying listen the music at home rather in car, maybe this upgrade can change the way you think about having good music in car as good as home.

Car is the worse place for music. To much noise distorted to the music itself. I used to ignore good music at car. I mostly listen to the radio while driving.

Anyway, this upgrade is a start to improve the car audio sound quality. This is only adding tweeter on the pillar of the front door. The goal is to make the sound-stage wider and fuller. The total working hour for this installation is around 2 hour but the result is worth to try.

Affordable Component Upgrade For Tripath TA2024 Amplifier Kit

It is been a while since I bought this kit but I didn't have any plan to build it anyway. This kit is 2 x 15 watt Tripath TA2024 class D amplifier. Especially for this TA2024 is well known for the high quality sound. I have read so many good review about this amplifier and I think, one day I will try it on my audio system. So in this post, I will do some component upgrade. This upgrade is intended to make this amplifier board look better because of the new component that will install on it.

 

Pioneer DV-373S (Part 2) Audio Components Upgrade

Continuing my previous post here, I am now disassemble this DVD player initially for cleaning purpose. Then, this end up with a simple component upgrade. I will change the capacitor and the op-amp to the better one.

Car Head Unit Pioneer DEH-P8850MP Op-amp Upgrade

This Pioneer DEH-P8850MP is one of my favorite head unit. I am quite remember when the first time I saw it on the advertisement, around 2007, I immediately fall in love with the design, especially for the display that came with attractive color. I think this is also the first time for the car audio head unit to put the color display like this.

The most important things is the sound setting in this Pioneer DEH-P8850MP. It have so many advanced audio features package in Digital Signal Processor, which is the specific sound tuning to tailored based on the acoustic room. This sound tuning is made with the combination of auto time alignment, auto EQ, BBE, and multi audio line out.

If you following from my previous post about changing the internal capacitor in this Pioneer DEH-P8850MP with the Nichicon Super Through few month ago, I actually did this upgrade before that post. It is just like back and forth posting, but anyway, let me explain how I did this upgrade.
