Vermouth RCA Plug - Best Value Audiophile Interconnect

I just bought this RCA interconnect from my friend, Mr. Hadi - SS Audio. He is one of Vermouth distributor in Jakarta. I request two pairs RCA cable using Canare cable brand instead the standard Mogami. The Canare is L-2T2S. Choosing the cable brands is a personal taste. The reason for me using Canare is just because I am quite familiar see that brand in the recording studio.

Finding the best RCA plug at reasonable price is quite difficult. I could not rely on China OEM RCA plugs. They are too ugly. The worst cases with that cheap plugs are they can ruin your overall audio system. Worst case found is broken your female RCA jack that need you to repair it by open up the whole amplifier unit.

The other experience is using Australian brand, the Amphenol. The result is not satisfying in term of the material quality. So I skip this one.

Back to this Vermouth brand, it is quite famous among audiophile. I know this is Indonesian made plugs for the export market. They have a lot of variance product. From the affordable plugs like this one to the most expensive cable that have a good review among audiophile. It is not a mistake to choose this Vermouth RCA plugs for affordable and good quality RCA connector.

The body of the RCA is satin finished with the straight-long body. This RCA looks just like an expensive hi-end product from WBT. Then with the additional gold plated and Vermouth gold logo on it, anyone wold consider this product is expensive.

The plug itself built by a good material. You can see how thick material for grounding is. This is a good point for a good RCA plugs.

This RCA plugs configuration is very common, the screwing lock type, then you can access inside the RCA body. Cable installation is by soldering it directly to the center pin and ground body.

I connect this Vermouth RCA to my amplifier using CMC-female RCA. Inserting this plugs is feel tight and steady. Once again I would consider this Vermouth RCA plug for the best affordable audiophile plugs so far.

Vintage Multibit R2R DAC Tier List

At the very beginning of this year, I committed to explore the best multi-bit R2R DAC. This is simply because I have plenty of the resources (from broken old unit CD player of course) and ability to build them up. If you think this kind a recycle from old un-used unit to become something useful, than I should stated myself giving contribute for greener world:) After all DAC that I built in this year, I think it is better for me to list them up again in one single page like this. Then I will rank them up in a simple tier list. The reason for this, so you all know what my opinion about of those vintage multibit R2R DAC especially in the sound quality.

TDA1543 DAC Review In 2021

It is a fine day and as usual I am reading and searching online contents related to almost anything I like. During my search, I stop to the few online forum discuss about a simple DAC using TDA1543 DAC IC. The discussion about this DAC was about 3 years ago, and the latest was about a year ago. Quite new and overall discussion about this DAC sound quality mostly are positive. It is interesting topic anyway especially I was built this TDA1543 DAC long time ago in 2016. At that time, I combine this DAC with Tripath amplifier  here  and  here  before it sold in 2019. That is also my first DIY DAC and I am quite enjoyed this DAC so much, at that time. The background story about this, previously I was using Sony Playstation SCPH-1002 as my reference CD Player. The reason I moved to this TDA1543 DAC is because the CD optic inside the Playstation is wear out and I cannot find the replacement for it. I pretty remember the sound quality of this TDA1543 DAC is quite comparable...
